"My dog is aggressive and has been kicked out of every daycare and boarding facility we've tried, I am upset that I can't even leave town for the day."
"My dog bit the neighbor and I am worried I am going to be sued or that the city will take my dog from me."

“My dog Ritzy is the sweetest rescue, but a harsh past left her with some baggage. She had leash aggression and due to not having been socialized as a pup, nearly everything excited her to the point of anxiety. I was dedicated to helping her learn to be a normal dog and fit in in our world, but as a new dog owner I was overwhelmed.
Thankfully Kelly was there to help. In our first session she showed me how quickly Ritzy could learn. She taught me to recognize when Ritzy was reaching her anxiety threshold, how to keep her below it, and how to raise what she could handle. Ritzy used to tug at her leash constantly, she even gnawed on it; now, she'll walk right by my side and I trust her to stay by me on off-leash trails. The mere sight of another dog used to push her over the edge; now she's actually manageable. Instead of reacting to everything, she's learning to think and put her amazing brain to use. We're even at the point where we're starting to wean her off her anti-anxiety medication, something I never thought possible before working with Kelly.
The difference is immense, friends and family comment on it often. The sessions with Kelly are always enjoyable, she’s always enthusiastic and gives great advice. I'd definitely recommend Kelly and am excited to continue Ritzy’s training!”
Emily K. & Ritzy
Hi! I'm Kelly Springer.
In 2005 I found a litter of feral puppies in Volente, TX. One of those puppies, named Tucker, was particularly shy and fearful. Worried for Tucker's future, I searched for a trainer experienced enough to help, and after a year of trial and error, I finally found the perfect behavior specialist to help.
I was so inspired by Tucker's training and rehabilitation journey, that I began an apprenticeship with that same behavior specialist. At her facility I began to teach group classes, help with behavior cases, and manage the boarding and daycare program full time. It was around this same time that I began learning about the sport, dog agility.
In 2008 I found and adopted another feral puppy named Indi. Like Tucker, Indi was also very anxious and reactive. Though Indi was reactive, she thrived learning and playing the sport of agility and by two years old was able to compete at large agility competitions, earning agility titles in multiple different venues. Indi's amazing transformation was my inspiration in combining the sport of dog agility with behavior modification, creating a one of a kind training and behavior modification approach that could work for any dog.
In 2011, after years of teaching classes and working behavior cases, I became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed through the Certification Council For Professional Dog Trainers.
I opened Austin Agility Dog Training in 2014, and since then have remained deeply entrenched in the world of rescue and rehabilitation, behavior therapy, and competition sports dog training.
I look forward to working with you and your dog!

“Let me tell you, Kelly has been beyond amazing. She came the day after I brought my puppy home and guided me through introducing the dogs, providing a detailed plan for the weeks ahead. She was so great, I even enrolled the puppy in her puppy classes on Sundays!
She did a second training with us to see if we could get them off leash and playing, and it was amazing. My older dog, who is very weary of wrestling or dogs getting in his face, was running and playing full force with the puppy. I never thought I would see the day that he would be so relaxed and playing so well with a hyper puppy.
Since our second lesson, both my dogs are playing in the house together and my older dog is so happy and relaxed. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I am so grateful for Kelly's guidance throughout it. It was worth every penny to have both the puppy and my older dog comfortable and happy throughout the entire transition - and to see them as bonded as they are now, makes me so proud and happy!”

“I don't even know where to begin. Our first session with Kelly left both me and my girlfriend elated, feeling so much more confident and prepared than we had been. Kelly immediately jumped in and started working with Poe, and we could instantly see that Kelly's method of training is incredibly effective. Kelly spent well over an hour with us, handling and working with Poe, fielding our endless barrage of questions, and providing us with fantastic advice and some structured homework. Just being around her and watching her interact with Poe was incredibly edifying. As a bonus, she's also unbelievably sweet, and very communicative as well. We're so excited to continue working with Kelly. Definitely recommend, without reservations.” - Ben & Poe
